Do you know the setting principle of granulator?

There are two screws meshing in the barrel of twin-screw plastic granulator, which can jointly complete the work of pushing and plasticizing the plastic before it is forced to cry. After drying, the granular product can be obtained, so as to realize the purpose of granulation. So what is the setting principle of twin-screw plastic granulator?

1) For the glass fiber system, if the temperature is too low, the resin is half melted, and the coating property of the glass fiber is poor at the back section; if the temperature is too high, the resin flow is increased, the effect of tempering and shearing is reduced, and even high temperature degradation occurs

1. According to different base materials and glass fiber content;

2. After deducting the heat input of screw shear, it is slightly higher than the melting point of base material;

3. The melt flow in the back section of the melting section (i.e. the glass fiber feeding port).

2) Filling system, (provide strong shear to make the filler fully dispersed), the melting section is 10 ~ 20 ℃ higher than the melting point of the base material, so that the material is fully melted and evenly distributed.

3) The temperature of flame retardant system (protect the flame retardant) should be lower, especially for white materials, which should be reduced as much as possible.

4) Glass fiber reinforced flame retardant system, set temperature between the former two, based on the basic melting point of the material.

5) For the alloy system, the melting temperature should be adjusted according to the two groups of melting temperatures, taking into account the proportion of components and the thermal sensitivity of components

For example, PC / ABS (6:4), PC: melting point about 230 degrees, decomposition point about 350 degrees; ABS: melting point about 180 ~ 190 degrees, decomposition point about 245-290 degrees - so PC / ABS processing temperature 230-250 degrees - considering other additives, such as compatibilizers, thermal stability of lubricants and so on.
